Senior Prom After Party Thoughts

This weekend was my Senior Year Prom. I had the perfect red dress, a great friend to go with, and we had an amazing time at the dance. Everything was magical and perfect and how I would have wanted it. I felt respected by my friend who I took.

But I was excited afterward to go to my first after party. From other people, I have always heard about how people get "sh*tfaced" aka hammered and lit. Part of those rumors was actually that parents willingly supply alcohol to these parties. Little did I know that those rumors are true. At the party, the parent of my classmate actually encouraged the use of alcohol and supplied it! What has this world come to? Neither my date or I drank but the fact that a parent would do this is batsh*t stupid. The amount of liability and risk was exponential. I know I won't be going to a party like that again. I hope that if you read this, you think twice about serving alcohol to underage people.
